This 1969 Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 is among approximately 800 examples built during just over three years of production. Chassis 12665 has previously received a cosmetic freshening that included a repaint in black. Power is provided by a numbers-matching 4.4-liter Colombo V12 topped with triple Weber carburetors that were re-jetted in 2015. Equipment includes a five-speed manual transmission, a limited-slip differential, servo-assisted ventilated disc brakes, four-wheel independent suspension, power-assisted steering, refurbished Borrani wire wheels, black leather interior upholstery, and air conditioning.
The 365 GT 2+2 was introduced in October 1967 at the Paris Motor Show with Pininfarina coachwork measuring almost five meters in overall length. This example was finished in black when acquired by the previous owner, who commissioned a repaint in the same color by Brian Moore Restorations in Gold River, California, in 2013. Bodywork included rust bubble removal to the right-rear rocker panel, right-front fender, lower left door, and right-rear taillamp area as well as correction of various dings.
Center-lock Borrani wire wheels were refurbished in 2013 by Precision Wire Wheels in Quincy, Illinois, and are wrapped in 205R15 Pirelli Cinturato CN72 tires. An unrestored spare housed in the trunk is wrapped in matching rubber. The 365 GT 2+2 model was the first Ferrari 2+2 offering with independent rear suspension, and this example’s factory self-levelling system was removed in favor of conventional QA1 coilover shock absorbers in 2015. The front and rear sway bar support and end link bushings were replaced in September 2021.
The cabin is trimmed in black leather over the seats and door panels with matching upholstery over the dash, console, and sills. Air conditioning, power steering, and power windows were standard equipment. The Becker Mexico AM/FM/cassette radio was rebuilt by Becker AutoSound and installed in 2014, although the seller notes that interference noise is present.
The three-spoke steering wheel was reupholstered in black leather with white stitching by Craft Customs in Texas in 2014. Replacement gloss-finished wood dash trim was installed under current ownership and houses Veglia Borletti instrumentation including a 180-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer. The five-digit odometer shows 86k miles. The gauges are said to have been cleaned and repaired as needed during the replacement of the dash trim.
The 4.4-liter Tipo 245 V12 breathes through triple Weber 40 DFI/5 carburetors that were rebuilt in 2015 with jetting specifications that are listed in the photo gallery below. Additional 2015 service by Tracklogic Motorsports in Rocklin, California, included radiator repairs, a valve adjustment, and replacement of the distributor caps and spark plug wires. The engine mounts were replaced by Corfee Car Care in Sacramento during a September 2021 inspection that included a compression test with the following results listed for each cylinder in psi:

Number 12665 is shown stamped on the engine block above, matching the car’s chassis number. The seller states that smoking from the exhaust can be observed on cold starts following extended periods of sitting.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission and a ZF limited-slip differential. The 365 GT’s Tipo 591 tubular steel chassis shared the 2,650mm wheelbase of the outgoing 330 GT but featured a wider track and an updated twin-circuit braking system with ventilated discs all around.
